Valtenna at University

Since last December Valtenna has been collaborating, with the students from the course of “Contemporary Industrial Design” of the faculty of Architecture of the University of Camerino with a department in Ascoli Piceno, in an project experiment on the theme of “Experimental Packaging Design. New concepts for wrapping the future”. Principally the students visited the plants and guided by the owner of the company, entered into the productivity reality and its functioning; armed with cardboard of various types, they started to produce the first prototypes by hand that, then, after the necessary verification for feasibility and the eventual modifications, were produced on the plotter. At the end of February there will be the final presentation of the results of the project experiment and, of course, the students will also have to take an exam. The objective of such an experience is that of developing innovative solutions for packaging for various sectors (multimedia, clothing, leather goods, jewellery, shoes, food, gadgets etc), from the concept to the prototype with particular attention to the function, to the technical performance, to the ease in use, to the eco-compatibility, to the ergonomics, to the quality, to the formal aesthetics of the product. A small exhibition of the prototypes produced will probably be set up at the University.
